Committee member (S7) drew on prior experience to say that neighborhood opposition is one of the largest obstacles to approving denser housing projects. "Some of the the biggest barrier I felt was the neighbors and and community as the pushback, against more density," S7 said, describing years‑long controversies in adjacent neighborhoods.
