Board presses county to maximize public library space in Skullcandy building plan

Board members spent the largest portion of the meeting discussing the county's announced acquisition of the former Skullcandy building and how much of the building will be devoted to library use. Committee members noted the library currently occupies about 8,000 square feet and said preliminary planning had identified roughly 9,500 square feet for the new site, representing an increase of approximately 1,500 square feet, though both 49,300 and 45,000 square-foot totals for the Skullcandy building were cited in different sources.
