District administrators updated the board on ongoing referendum-funded projects, including the high-school/middle-school track and science-lab renovations.
The district reported that track crews were expected to place blacktop within days, followed by a 30-day curing period before surfacing and painting; administrators said they expect substantial completion in time for early football games though final painting may continue. Science labs at the middle and high school have epoxy floors and new cabinets in place, and elementary work is in drywall and painting stages. The district noted the new HVAC unit installation is scheduled for about Aug. 8 and that staff may briefly close the daycare while a crane places the unit.
Board members were invited to tour the projects after the meeting; administrators said custodial staff assembled tables and saved the district money during the renovation work.
