Delran engineer outlines road program, Army Corps riprap plan; CCTV notifications coming

Engineering Director Michael D’Armiento told residents that notices will be sent about work related to the 2025 road program, including meter installations by New Jersey American Water. He said no more work will be done on Leon this year and the trench will be resurfaced in the new year, and that contractor equipment on Greenwood Avenue will be removed by the end of the week.
D’Armiento reported a recent meeting with the Army Corps of Engineers and said a finalized draft plan will be provided early next year. The preliminary plan includes a tentative riprap treatment along the streambank on River Drive between North Chester and the treatment plant; anticipated completion of that phase was described as sometime in early 2027, and subsequent phases would depend on Township decisions. He also announced that the CCTV contract adopted this evening will include resident notifications when work is scheduled.
