The commission approved an amendment to the Town of New Carlisle’s replacement Uniform Development Ordinance on July 14 after staff summarized the town council’s July 7 adoption of a slightly amended UDO. Sean Klein told commissioners the changes were minimal: four parcels reclassified from moderate density residential to town residential, removal of a redundant "small apartment" definition, addition of townhouse as a permitted building type in the mixed‑use district and permission for dwelling units above the ground floor in the town center.
