Consultant Hannah Ray of Gascadia Partners walked PAC through the draft future land use map and described six place-type designations that will guide where different kinds of housing, jobs and parks will locate in Boardman.
"A place type is really kind of this level above the zoning," Hannah Ray said, listing neighborhood character (lower-scale housing), urban character (denser, transitional housing), community centers (walkable mixed-use main-street areas), employment centers (professional and office uses), industrial centers (food processing and warehousing), and parks/open space (waterfront, marina, trails). The map layers community vision feedback, the TSP, parks master plan and the EOA to propose where each place type should be located.
