County planners say database tracks development pupil-yield; committee requests BCPS presentation

A county staff member told the committee the planning office keeps a development database with pupil-yield estimates dating back more than 20 years because of the APFO. "We do have a database that tracks all of the development in the county as well as, the pupil yield from those developments... that data has been tracked for over 20 years," the staff member said.
Members asked whether Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) staff could present how they calculate capacity and projections and requested maps showing current overcrowding and three-year projections. Staff said BCPS provides capacity numbers yearly and staff can invite BCPS to explain how capacity calculations and projections are produced.
