Several committee members criticized the pace of appointments to the advisory committee, noting the council established the body in 2024 but some nominees were not brought forward until late 2025 and 2026. One committee member said, "county executive and 2 councilmen have had 2 years to appoint those people and have not felt that to be an urgent, priority," expressing concern the committee could be hampered if more members are not seated.
