Tama County approves two Alliant Energy utility permits for grid upgrades
On July 20, 2026 the board approved two utility permits involving Alliant Energy — one listed to Nicole Jardine and a second for new lines tied to a grid upgrade — both recommended by Assistant Foreman Nick Kofron and approved unanimously.

Assistant Foreman Nick Kofron told the board the engineer’s office had received a permit application listed to Nicole Jardine representing Alliant Energy and recommended approval. Supervisor Curt Kupka moved to approve the utility permit for Nicole Jardine; Supervisor David Turner seconded and the motion passed with all supervisors voting "aye."
