The Lyons City Council on Oct. 22 adopted Ordinance 251-2024 to repeal and replace LMC 2.15 (Library Board) and to remove LMC 1.10 (Ordinances) from the municipal code. City staff said the ordinance was reviewed by the city attorney to ensure compliance with State Library law and continued eligibility for state library grants. The updated language restores the requirement that a member serve two consecutive terms and then take a one-year break before returning.
