The board received a facilities update from Superintendent Brenda Taylor about the proposed bond-funded replacement of the elementary gym floor. Taylor said district maintenance cut a 3-by-3 hole in the existing floor to check for moisture, she has seen four vendors so far, and she has two written estimates from Performance Flooring and Tristate.
Taylor said the district was waiting on a call to complete a bore test before the board would consider awarding work or moving forward with a bond appropriation. The board did not take action on the gym floor project at this meeting, leaving further decisions pending additional testing and vendor information.
