Cashmere board adopts Washington Integrated Student Support Protocol required by state

Assistant Principal and LAP Director Rhett Morgan presented an overview of the district's Learning Assistance Program and the Washington Integrated Student Support Protocol (WISSP), a statewide framework for identifying and coordinating supports for students' academic and non-academic needs. Morgan said WISSP "is a new state requirement" and that Cashmere’s current practices already align with that framework.
Morgan noted the district will house the WISSP plan at the district level and not submit it to OSPI for routine review, but it will be available if requested during an audit. On a motion by Sara Pipkin the board approved the WISSP as presented.
