At the Sept. 8 work session Bo Charlton summarized a two-year, state-funded district study and survey intended to form the foundation of the district’s long-term facilities plan. Charlton said the study provides a detailed analysis and assessment of each building in the district with a focus on current conditions, future needs, and alignment with modern educational and safety standards.
Charlton told the board the process identified current facility conditions, operational challenges and long-term needs; he said the item will be brought back at the district’s September board meeting for approval. The board did not take action on the study during the work session and will review the study for possible next steps and any capital-planning decisions at a subsequent meeting.
