The Cashmere School District Board approved Resolution 2026-2 (Study and Survey Approval) on a motion by Paul Nelson and adopted multiple policies on their second reading at its Sept. 22, 2025 regular meeting.
On motions by Roger Perleberg and Paul Nelson the Board approved Policy & Procedure 5253 (Maintaining Professional Staff/Student Boundaries); Policy & Procedure 3424 (Child Abuse and Neglect); Policy 4260 (Use of School Facilities); Policy & Procedure 5010 (Nondiscrimination and Affirmative Action); and Policy & Procedure 2420 (Grading and Progress Reports). The motions were recorded as approved during the meeting agenda’s action items.
Board members did not attach additional amendments during the second readings. The approvals follow the standard second-reading process for the district’s policy reviews and will become part of district governance documents. The Board did not specify effective dates beyond the approvals made at the meeting.
The Board moved through the action items under agenda section 6.0, with the resolution and each policy receiving a motion to approve as shown in the meeting minutes.
