Board approves special exception for contractor equipment yard on Boundary Line Lane with permit timing change

Applicant Walter Garrett described a plan with retail/hardscape frontage toward Route 11 and truck/trailer storage behind the retail area. During board discussion, a supervisor proposed changing the implementation condition to require that the applicant obtain and post a land‑disturbance activity or building permit within 12 months (a more precise trigger than “implemented within 12 months”); Garrett concurred. The board approved the special exception with that revised condition; required approvals from the county building department, erosion/sediment control/stormwater management, the public service authority and VDOT remain prerequisites for construction.
