Rivergrove’s City Council voted to remove the staffed gate and other obstructions at the Stark Boat Ramp, citing difficulties enforcing the gate’s operating hours and ongoing neighborhood tensions. Councilor Shafer moved the detailed removal plan — which includes recycling materials, removing gate posts and trimming vegetation that obscures signage — and Mayor Barhyte seconded the motion.
