Finance Director Kristen Reed presented the second reading of Ordinance 2841, the first 2026 budget amendment. Reed said she made small adjustments since the first reading and specifically added an additional $35,000 to purchase two digital reader boards, with that amount paid from the street fund and allocated across IT funding percentages.
Reed also cautioned that Fund 35 (the Facilities Fund) will have a reserve balance below the city’s reserve policy after the amendment. Committee members reported full support for the amendment and a motion to approve Ordinance 2841 passed on second reading. Council did not record amendments to the ordinance at the meeting.
