District plans sensory sidewalks, indoor sensory-room work and OT training
Mapleton SD 32 staff said the district will paint sensory pathways on two elementary sidewalks within weeks and pursue a longer-term indoor sensory room; occupational-therapy partners will provide staff training and shadowing.

District staff told the board they are power-washing and preparing two elementary sidewalks between the library and primary classrooms and plan to paint sensory pathways (stenciled activities such as hopscotch) within roughly two weeks, using stencils lent by a partner district and donated paint.
