Board members discussed several operational items affecting students and families: whether to include student ID photos as part of registration, enhancements to concession operations and staffing, and options to use NFHS streaming to broadcast athletic events.
One board member (speaker 8) suggested making ID photos part of registration or offering picture days early in the school year so students can use IDs for event access and identification: “Maybe we could push that into our registration process instead of it being just like, if you want one, come see me.” The discussion also covered logistics for printing IDs, legal-name versus preferred-name considerations for IDs used to secure government identification, and a possible two-card approach (legal-name card for formal uses and a carry card for daily events).
On athletics and concessions, staff praised the recent operational improvements in concessions and discussed NFHS streaming subscriptions as a potential way to broaden access for remote families. Board members asked staff to follow up on costs, account setup and how school accounts would be used for streaming and concessions operations.
