Kristen Kelly told board members that if Mapleton converted to a single‑district charter the existing district board could remain the governing body and the district audit would serve as the charter audit. "If the district keeps one board, your district audit serves as the charter school audit," Kelly said, urging the district to retain assets under district ownership to ease any future reversion.
