The utility commission reported several operational updates and two items of potential long‑term consequence for ratepayers. Commissioners said WPPI, the joint action agency that supplies power, has requested member utilities consider extending a long‑term power supply contract to 2073; the city's current contract ends in 2055 and commissioners said they will research other power supply options before advising the council.
