The board reviewed and approved the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) plan update for the 2024–25 school year.
Superintendent (speaker 1) explained the district has carried systems from prior assets and ACEs work into ELOP and that sample program schedules and attendance documentation processes are already in place; staff expressed confidence that the district can meet monitoring requirements. Trustee (speaker 7) moved to approve the plan and the motion was seconded and carried on roll call. The superintendent noted this may be the first federal program monitoring for ELOP and staff will coordinate with the county office to ensure documentation and processes are aligned.
Board members asked practical questions about long‑day attendance (9‑hour days) and attendance reporting; the superintendent said most students do not stay full long days and that attendance upload processes and data collection are in place.
