Board offers recognitions, summer program dates and student certifications

The board recognized community donors Kyle McGarvey, Garrett Hunt and Herbert Lumbert for donating wood for the homecoming bonfire and congratulated Janice Dunnigan (selected as inspirational teacher of the year) and Eric Mendenhall (support staff of the year).
A high-school presenter reported 11 of 13 seniors participated in graduation on June 6, summarized summer basketball and tournaments, and said summer school will run July 6–24, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The presenter also noted three students earned welding certifications (Lily George and Ethan Hacken in stick welding; Layton Rainwater in MIG welding).
The board thanked volunteers and parents for graduation and events support and noted the district will provide student workers to assist custodians and maintenance over the summer.
