Board hears update on special-education caseloads and work on disproportionality
District staff reported current special-education caseloads across grade bands and said a root-cause analysis is underway in response to a 'significant disproportionality' flag; staff said they will share the report with the board when ready.

Speaker 2 provided the board with a special-education caseload rundown: K–6 = 46 students (three in process), grades 7–8 = 30 (one in process), and grades 9–12 = 28. Speech-only cases currently number three, with five additional students in the queue for eligibility processing.
