FDOT plans $1.5 million wrong‑way detection project affecting I‑95 ramps

Town Clerk Dorothy Gravelin relayed that the Florida Department of Transportation plans an Advanced Wrong Way Driving Detection project for I‑95 interchange exit ramps at Southern Boulevard, Congress Avenue in Boca Raton and Yamato Road. The one‑year project is estimated to cost about $1.5 million and will include signage that flashes "DO NOT ENTER" and triggers alerts to the Regional Transportation Management Center when a wrong‑way driver is detected.
