Sarah told the board the library has applied to multiple funders to support the mobile library and related upfits. She said, "we applied for the Oregon Community Foundation Grama... that was for $40,000," and that a second application to the Ford Family Foundation was for approximately $25,000; the Roundhouse Foundation opportunity could support upfitting a vehicle and the staff expected to request roughly $25,000 for that purpose.
In addition to grant requests, staff reported more than $15,000 raised through local fundraising and a $150,000 city allocation plus a Hoodland contribution. Sarah summarized the current total as "about $255,000" toward an estimated need of roughly $320,000 and noted that most grantors award less than the full requested amount, so fundraising will continue.
