Parowan staff expedited an RFQ to select an airport engineering consultant so design and grant work for a new AWOS can start this year; submissions are due a week from Friday and the selection committee includes David Harris and Luke Carlson.

Parowan City moved up a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to select an engineering consultant to design and seek grant funding for a new Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS). City staff told the Airport Board that the AWOS was not part of the current consultant’s original qualifications package, meaning the city must select a qualified firm now so design and FAA grant work can proceed this year.
