A KASA representative told the board the association provides executive coaching, an experienced superintendent mentor, a school board member liaison and faculty-led training to support new superintendents, and asked the district to adopt KASAstandards.
"Our mission is clear, to guide, support, and encourage your new leader throughout the 1st year," the KASA speaker said, outlining the programcomponents and a companion resolution included in the board packet. The superintendent explained the state had narrowed prior guidance from seven standards to five and moved that the board adopt the KASA five-standard superintendent effectiveness framework as the official evaluation model for the 2026–27 school year. The board approved the resolution by voice vote."Aye," the chair called; "Ayes have it."
