Affordable housing was a recurring focus in the Junction Commons review, with commissioners weighing the code’s integration goals against the financing realities cited by the developer. The applicant confirmed that the first residential building will be an entirely affordable rental building financed with LIHTC, and that additional affordable units will come later in the phasing sequence and above retail infill in subsequent phases.
