Applicant says subdivision creates flexibility; hotel still possible

The applicant representative, Hardeep of Unity Partners, told the commission the subdivision splits the parcel into five lots to give flexibility for future business interests and potential future development. "We're subdividing this property into 5 different parcels to give us the flexibility to develop this property," Hardeep said.
Staff and the applicant both emphasized that the current hearing approved only the land division; no development or building permits were being approved tonight. McCain and Hardeep said the hotel proposal that had been discussed previously remains an option but no formal hotel application has been submitted and earlier approvals for an RV resort and sit-down restaurant have expired.
Hardeep identified a mailing address and described the developer's intent to market or pursue appropriate commercial uses for specific lots; he said Lot 5 is the parcel sized for a hotel while Lots 1 and 2 are configured with access easements suitable for fast-food or small retail uses.
