Commission suspends rules to approve Guardian RFID contract for sheriff’s office
Commissioners suspended the rules to consider a contract not included in the finance packet and then approved a contract between the sheriff's office and Guardian RFID. Staff explained the device supports inmate head counts and checkpoint scanning.

Chair asked the commission to suspend the rules to consider a contracted service that was not included in the finance packet. Commissioner Riddle moved to suspend the rules, Commissioner Wiseman seconded, and the chair called the voice vote: "Aye." The chair then moved to introduce the resolution to approve a contract between Franklin County Sheriff's Office and Guardian RFID; Commissioner Anderson moved and Commissioner McMillan seconded. The roll call was taken and the chair announced the motion carried.
