The Duval County Commissioners Court approved an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Benavides Independent School District and Duval County at its Nov. 24, 2025 special meeting. The clerk recorded the motion: "On a motion made by Commissioner Garza and seconded by Commissioner Vera that we approve the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Benavides Independent School District and Duval County." The clerk's minutes state the motion "carried with all members voting 'Aye' and 'Against' none."
