Commission requests expedited road and bridge projects and fund restriction

At the Sept. 25 continuation meeting, Commissioner Robert M. Berry moved to authorize Resolution 09/25/17 requesting expedited projects and immediate fund restrictions for Macon County road and bridge work. Commissioner Andrew D. Thompson Jr. seconded the motion and it was approved by unanimous vote. The minutes note this resolution as an action to accelerate necessary road and bridge projects and to make funding adjustments accordingly.
The item followed a hearing that included the Sheriff and Jail, EMA, and the County Engineer earlier in the session. The commission recessed after the vote and continued budget hearings on Sept. 27.
