Auditor moves budget amendment public hearing to Sept. 9 to fund courthouse server replacement
Jackson County auditors told supervisors the courthouse AS/400 server is at end of life and not budgeted; the board rescinded a Sept. 2 hearing and set a public hearing for Sept. 9, 2025 at 9 a.m. to amend the FY25‑26 budget to include funds for a replacement server.

The county auditor told the board Aug. 19 that the courthouse AS/400 server has reached end of life and can no longer receive security patches; tape drive hardware is obsolete. Because the replacement was not budgeted, the auditor asked to move the previously scheduled Sept. 2 public hearing on a budget amendment to Sept. 9 at 9 a.m. so the county can include funds for a new server.
