Pratt County EMS to use Prodigy for continuing education; commission notes rising call volume

Pratt County Emergency Medical Services reported an increase in call volume to approximately 1,367 responses in the past year and said current medical bags will need replacement. EMS Director Brian Atteberry presented operational needs and recommended switching the department’s continuing-education platform to Prodigy, which he said would reduce costs compared with the prior vendor.
The commission approved a motion to use Prodigy for Pratt County EMS at $1,610 per year (motion by Commissioner Rick Shriver, seconded by Commissioner Morgan Trinkle; motion passed 3-0). The meeting minutes note Atteberry said Prodigy would save $1,000 over the prior vendor, Foamfrat, which the minutes list at $1,610/year; the minutes do not reconcile that apparent discrepancy and provide no additional procurement documentation.
