Delco libraries deploy IT upgrades and roll out new catalog platform June 23
Administrator Annie told the board the county capital budget funded hardware upgrades to replace unsupported Windows 10 machines and announced the launch of a new discovery layer (Delco Discover and DCL Kids) on June 23, with the classic catalog remaining available.

Annie reported that 2026 county capital funds allowed procurement of computer hardware to replace machines still running Windows 10 and address security risks; the new compact computers were distributed across member libraries with help from an intern and IT staff. "We ordered those in the spring. They came in and with the help of our intern and our IT team, they have been rolling those out across the county," she said.
