Prairie View mayor says council’s walkout halted business, vows to keep working
The mayor of Prairie View accused a majority of the city council of choosing 'confusion' over governing after members left and prevented routine business, and said he will continue outreach and public updates until the council acts.

The Mayor of Prairie View sharply criticized the city council on the dais, saying a recent meeting was derailed when members left and business could not be conducted. “The people of Prairie View did not elect us to sit on the sidelines,” the Mayor said, adding that residents expect officials to “pass budgets, improve streets and parks, strengthen public safety, attract investment, and solve real day-to-day problems.”
