Rashad Moore, reporting for County Road Projects, said the department has several vacancies, including an equipment operator, truck driver, ground maintenance tech and fleet maintenance tech. He listed open work orders: 11 for unpaved roads, 24 for paved roads, 7 for signs and 40 for parks, and said the department is researching options to stabilize roads and reduce maintenance burdens.
Moore said the Timber Ridge ditching project is complete and crews will test the drainage after rain; work is scheduled to start on Avenue P and 132nd Street soon. Commissioners thanked staff for the completed work and asked for continued coordination on remaining paving and ditching tasks.
