Commissioners discussed potential uses (including relocating some constable and task-force operations), inspection and ADA/accessibility checks, and budget unknowns for relocation and IT work. Commissioner Dolby proposed issuing $5,500 in earnest money to start the process; the court approved beginning the purchase process and authorizing the earnest-money issuance. The motion carried 4–1, with Commissioner Corley recorded as opposed. Staff said they would return with inspection results, cost estimates and recommendations before any final purchase.
