County authorizes purchase of fixed-asset module for accounting software

County staff asked the board to authorize purchase of a fixed-asset module for the county's accounting software to consolidate fixed-asset records that are currently managed outside the primary accounting system. Staff said the purchase includes the module, data import support and training at a quoted total of $7,276.71 and argued the change will reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.
"We're very excited about this next step of, adding the fixed asset module to our our accounting software," a staff member said, describing the module, training and assistance with importing existing asset information. The board approved authorization to sign the contract by voice vote as part of the consent items.
