Superintendent updates board on construction projects, play-structure and solar easement

The Superintendent said the district issued a request for proposals for construction management services and reported six inquiries and planned site visits. "I put out that RFP... I think I've had six inquiries last week," the Superintendent said. The play-structure project and other construction work are being scheduled pending weather and contractor availability.
Staff also described efforts to resolve an expired easement tied to a solar drive and to pursue Energy Trust support for lighting and HVAC upgrades. The meeting included a technical note that many fluorescent fixtures are phased out in Oregon and the district will pursue LED swap-outs and ballast bypasses as a phased project.
