Commissioners authorize termination of Comdata contract and transition to WEX

The Court authorized the county judge to sign a termination letter with Comdata Network Inc. and to proceed with transition to WEX after purchasing staff described ongoing problems with the Comdata service.
Purchasing agent Clint Worman told the Court the county will continue to receive invoices and that staff are working to secure a refund from Comdata. "We're still working on a refund that they keep asking for more and more documents, so we're still trying to get that refund back from them," Worman said. He added staff have the invoices they typically rely on for historical information.
Following discussion, a commissioner moved and another seconded to authorize the termination; the Court approved the motion by voice vote. Staff said they will continue to pursue the refund and manage data and invoice records during the transition to WEX.
