The engineer said several accidents have occurred at the 331–72 intersection and that the project will require closing a segment of County Road 331 for a significant period to perform roadway reconstruction; the county will coordinate traffic flow with TxDOT and consider advanced warning signs and dynamic message boards.
The court approved the permit request so crews can move forward with planning and notification to affected communities, and staff said they will continue to coordinate with TxDOT on detour and signage plans.
