Christy told the Commissioner's Court that the county will perform its regular post-election hand-count audit next week to verify electronic tabulations.
She said the audit will include hand tallies at three early-voting locations, three election-day locations and three precincts used for absentee ballots, with staff making independent tally marks to confirm the tabulated totals. "We're gonna do our post election hand count audit that we do for every election," Christy said.
The hand-count audit is a verification step used across jurisdictions to confirm that the tabulated totals match physical ballots; the county will document the results and include them with official canvass materials.
