The county’s IT director (Speaker 3) briefed commissioners on a year of technology upgrades and asked for funding to expand monitoring and retention capabilities. The director said the county moved many services off‑premises to mitigate spam and dialer attacks, instituted multi‑factor authentication for ~80% of accounts, and expanded CrowdStrike coverage and a security incident management platform.
