The board reviewed the results of an RFP process for preschool and early-learning services and the selection committee recommended Southern Oregon Head Start as the district's preschool provider. A district presenter described the recommendation, saying Southern Oregon Head Start was chosen "based on several key factors" including capacity to expand services to more vulnerable children, the ability to add three-year-old slots at no net cost to families, and the readiness of the provider to bring high-quality resources.
