Commissioners approve benefit changes: dental increase, retiree stipend cut, committee's plan mostly accepted

Rockwall County commissioners approved the benefits committee's recommended 2025 benefits package after a staff presentation by HR Director Cammy (Kamie) Webb. The court voted unanimously to pass a 25% increase in employee dental premiums to address rising dental costs, and later approved a change reducing the retiree monthly stipend from $300 to $200, effective Oct. 1, 2024; that stipend vote passed 4-1.
