Road staff outlines plan for intersection-warning system on Route 460; board signals support

Road staff argued the measure is evidence-based and gave a reduction-in-crash estimate: "data shows that usually when you put these systems in, the crash rates drop about 30%," a VDOT-affiliated presenter said. The board voiced preliminary support for pursuing the design and potential funding avenues; staff said it would pursue available VDOT and county funds to advance the project.
