Public commenters raise concerns about data centers and housing; Sheriff’s Office rolls out Project Lifesaver

During public comment, residents raised concerns about data centers, a housing study and management of flood money; the Sheriff’s Office and Laurel K9 Search & Rescue introduced Project Lifesaver, a locating program for individuals with special needs that the minutes say can locate participants often within 30 minutes when they wear a bracelet.

Public comment at the April 14 meeting included several community points: Sarah Welch, representing Penn State Extension, promoted the 'Tilva' program; Joy Childs urged attention to a Covington Township ordinance, data center development, a housing study and management of flood-related funds; and Danni Logue encouraged residents to read the county ordinance and noted the public can provide input at any time.
