The Martin County Commissioners Court on Jan. 13 voted to certify the county'026'026 budget for 2026 and declared the county to be "working under" that budget effective Jan. 1, 2026. Commissioner Kenny Stewart moved to "certify 2026 budget and declaration of working under since January 1, 2026," a motion seconded by Commissioner Brian Snellgrove and approved by the court, recorded as a 3-0 vote.
